My colleague David Leonhardt at Economix analyzes new government data on pay trends for 2010. It was a pretty bad year for everybody. But the statistics underscore that an education remains as valuable as ever: the pay gap between college graduates and workers with only a high school degree continued to grow and has reached a new record: the typical college graduate makes more than 75 percent more every week than the typical high-school graduate.
